Inventory Control Manager
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible to oversee the cycle and year-end inventory count program and lead the overall management of inventory movement from dock-to-line, and from line to finished goods storage. The primary objective of this position is to ensure inventory balances are always maintained accurately in all affected systems. The IC Manager also works cross-functionally with Finance on cycle count results, inventory discrepancies and root cause / countermeasure activities. In addition, the IC Manager works side by side with Material Handling leaders and Process Engineering to identify process gaps related to inventory discrepancies and drives process level-up activities. A key component of this function is to complete data analysis, identify and recognize inventory discrepancies and drive solutions to achieve inventory accuracy daily as issues with cycle counts occur.

Responsibilities
Input data received from production for transformation of raw material to WIP and WIP to FG
Manage and perform the inventory control (IC) cycle and year-end inventory counts and programs
Perform audits to ensure cycle count program accuracy and sustainability
Ensure overall inventory integrity within the department
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics for cycle counting and inventory accuracy
Provide clear and concise reporting to Finance Management and Ownership
Coordinate efforts with process engineering to ensure in-process inventory accuracy
Work with plant management/supervisors as a "gate keeper" for inventory movement and control
Problem-solve inventory discrepancies and recommend process changes to alleviate future discrepancies
Plan, perform and manage physical inventories (if needed), internal/external audits
Train and/or support material handling teams in proper inventory practices to maintain inventory accuracy as needed
Work with cross functional teams to ensure IC practices are being followed and lead/support continuous improvement
Work closely with Finance to ensure corporate compliance and fiscal deadlines are met
Document and manage standard work instructions associated with cycle count and inventory adjustment processes.

Requirements
Minimum 5 years related work experience in inventory process control
Strong computer skills, ability to manipulate large spreadsheets, sort and analyze data, and create reports
Strong inventory issue identification, resolution and process improvement skills
Knowledge of MRP/MES is strongly desired
Knowledge of supply chain processes and internal material flow from dock-to-line, and line-to-finished goods warehouse
Ability to multi-task, do data analysis, and act as a project manager to drive process solutions
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems
A self-starter with leadership skills who can effectively articulate data to management and cross-functional peers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Extremely organized and efficient
Understands the meaning of "sense of urgency" and acts quickly to investigate, report and work with the team to resolve issues within this position.
