Job DescriptionWe're hiring a specialist for an integral position on our team. You'll keep our billings and collections up-to-date, ensure the accuracy of such, and provide support and backup for the rest of the team. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient.Compensation:$50,000 to start with annual bonusResponsibilities:The Billings/Collections Specialist will be responsible for the following:

• All areas related to the timely processing of invoices and pay applications, according to individual billing deadlines. She/He will also be responsible for collecting timely payments from customers, ensuring over 60-day receivables are less than 5%
• Ensure sales tax, if any, is billed properly
• Post and process all customer checks and process remote bank deposits
• Post and process all credit card payments, ensuring accurate daily batches are posted to match actual bank deposits
• Process all change orders and ensure timely and accurate billings and collections of such
• Close projects in accounting software upon receipt of final paymentsQualifications:
  • Understanding of accounting and the billings and collections cycle
  • Construction experience preferred
  • Experience with Excel and accounting software
  • Accurate, diligent, detail oriented, and mindful of meeting important deadlines
