TasksHOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Technician for our two manufacturing plants in Pompano Beach. HCA, part of the global HOERGIBER Compression Technology Group, is a dynamic manufacturer of OEM precision compressor valves and components.The Equipment Technician is a key position within the Maintenance department. The position is focused on routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance for CNC equipment for manufacturing of precision parts. Successful candidate has experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical repair for manufacturing machines, including CNC machines and the ability to realign tables and fixtures. We utilize CNC mills, lathes, and grinders. Robotics repair and maintenance experience extremely helpful.This is a maintenance/repair (not production) position which is also responsible to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities/buildings. This is a full-time position.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview all maintenance work requests to determine what is needed to fix the equipment and communicate with supervision on priorities and approach to ensure the equipment that production needs most is tended to first.Record all work performed to allow it to become useful data for analysis and reporting. Record cause of breakdowns and labor needed to perform repair.Diagnose and identify complex problems through troubleshooting related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and PLC system.Coordinate and perform repairs. Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and suppliers.Execute preventive maintenance work orders that are scheduled with production.Perform facility/building Preventive Maintenance and repairsRequirementsFive or more years of experience in machine and equipment maintenanceMachine repair certificates, licenses preferredCertificates and courses for mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC logic, hydraulics and pneumatics are preferredMachining background is a plusAbility and experience to troubleshoot complex machine problems based on input from operators, technical manuals and alarm codesKnowledge on how to read electrical voltage, resistance and amperage with meterKnowledge on how to solder connectionsAbility to read mechanical and electrical printsAbility to work with suppliers on getting quotes for needed spare parts and servicesKnowledge of industrial plant safetyAbility to operate an industrial lift truckAbility to work in the metric and imperial systemAbility to use measuring instruments like calibers, indicators, micrometer, plug gaugesAbility to perform geometric inspections on machines and parts to determine perpendicularity, flatness, straightness, roundness, runout with precision instruments like indicators, straightedges and squaresKnowledge of CNC equipment repair and maintenance PreferredKnowledge of injection molding equipment and repair a PlusWe offerHOERBIGER offers a dynamic, continually changing work environment with opportunity for advancement.
