Opportunity for a 'gung-ho' underwriter with 5+ years expertise in underwriting activities and skills in developing strong business relationships with industry professionals to maintain and build a profitable book of business for a leading insurance company.

Responsibilities:

*** Develop and maintain business relationships through responsive service, site visits, in person renewal meetings, or enhanced knowledge of their customer's market.

*** Assess the business applying for insurance by qualifying accounts to accept or decline risks.

*** Create and implement policies, standards, and procedures aimed at profitable underwriting activities.

Qualifications:

*** Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or similar.

*** At least five years of production underwriting experience with a strong focus on Oil and Gas, Energy, Power, Utility, Pipeline Integrity, and other related industries.

*** Knowledge of underwriting Energy Risks such as Contractor Pollution Liability, Site Pollution, Excess, Umbrella, Auto, Worker's Compensation, Professional Liability, or General Liability.

*** Present relationships with agents and brokers within the industry.

Generous compensation package including leading compensation up to $160,000, annual bonus opportunities, profit sharing, equity, and company contribution to pension plan. Lead your program as you see fit with ability to meet with executives and discussion long-term vision and present action plans to meet goals.
