Senior Associate IDI Underwriter

Job Description:

A company is looking for a Senior Associate IDI Underwriter.
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate IDI applications and make underwriting decisions based on morbidity, financial, and occupational risks
Collaborate with medical directors and underwriting management to resolve complex medical and non-medical histories
Work with third-party administrators to manage IDI underwriting cases and negotiate appeals

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; industry-related education desired
7+ years of experience in disability/IDI underwriting
Strong knowledge of IDI insurance products and processes
Experience handling complex IDI underwriting cases and evaluating medical, financial, and occupational information
Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization
