Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days -
Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is
hiring an experienced ICU RN for a primary trauma and stroke unit,
requiring a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience and an
active FL or compact RN license. /n /n Responsibilities/n -
Hospital ICU setting, serving as a primary trauma and stroke unit -
Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 - Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts
(7:00–19:30) - Every other weekend (EOW) required - Floating
required on an as-needed basis - Holiday coverage required on an
as-needed basis - Epic EMR experience required - Charge RN and
Neuro ICU experience are preferred - This is a smoke-free facility
- A Basic Arrhythmia assessment is required prior to starting; if
not passed on the first attempt, a retake (Dysrhythmia Exam B) must
be completed within 24 hours and passed with an overall Angoff
score of 83% or higher, 100% in the lethal rhythm section, and 83%
or higher in all other sections - A study guide and tips to help
pass the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's
online orientation portal - Local candidates within a 60-mile
radius of the facility are eligible for consideration at a local
pay rate /n /n Requirements/n - Active FL or compact RN license
currently in hand - Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS,
and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — all must be in hand at time of
consideration - Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience
with acute and/or chronically ill patients - Trauma and neuro
experience required - Degree must be from an accredited school, or
from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON)
with at least 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience
in a US hospital within the past 24 months - Proof of vaccination
status required — declinations not accepted - Must pass a Basic
Arrhythmia/EKG assessment (pass/fail) /n Benefits/n - High Pay and
