Laboratory Schedule: Full Time - Evening Shift Reports to:
Laboratory Director / Lab Manager Position Summary The Medical
Technologist is responsible for performing accurate and timely
testing in all areas of the clinical laboratory. The ideal
candidate demonstrates strong analytical and technical skills,
follows established procedures, and ensure quality results that
support optimal patient care. Responsibilities: Perform laboratory
testing in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood
bank, and microbiology as assigned. Analyze specimens accurately
and report results promptly in accordance with established policies
and CLIA/Joint Commission standards. Perform, record, and interpret
quality control data; identify and correct issues that may affect
test accuracy. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory
instruments and equipment. Collaborate with nursing and medical
staff to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and
reporting. Maintain proper documentation, reagents, and inventory
within the department. Adhere to infection control and safety
guidelines at all times. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's
Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a
related field. Licensure/Certification: Current Florida Clinical
Laboratory Technologist License in all specialties required ASCP
certification preferred. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of
experience as a Medical Technologist in an acute care hospital
setting preferred. Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to
detail, and ability to work independently and under pressure. Must
clear background and drug test required.
