Daily Responsibilities of an -Oncology Registered Nurse:

• Carries out physician orders
• Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs
• Cares for patients requiring long term pain management and -for patients receiving chemotherapy
• Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well coordinated patient care
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
• Utilizing the nursing process, provides care for patients with cancer
• Responsible for providing patient education and assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs
• Starting IVs, Central lines and administers Chemotherapy Requirements for this position:
  • 1 year of RN Experience that includes giving infusions/Starting IV???s
  • Active RN License
  • Active BLS License
  • Great Soft Skills and Phlebotomy Skills
  • Comfortable working with Chemo (No prior chemo/oncology experience required)
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID 19- no exemptions Hours for this position:
    • -Monday through Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm Advantages of this position:
