We offer



HOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a Manager of Safety/Health/Environmental (SHE) for our state of the art manufacturing facility in Pompano Beach, FL. HCA is an industry-leading manufacturer of precision compressor valves and components.

The Safety. Health and Environmental Manager will ensure a safe work environment, compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory policies (OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001 and 45001), as well as administer the company SHE program.

This is a full-time position, generally scheduled weekdays. Not a remote position.

Essential Functions

Safety

Maintain and communicate OSHA programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, PPE, Hearing Conservation
Conduct Internal Inspections and Safety audits
Collaborate to prevent unsafe situation, troubleshoot issues and lead Continuous Improvement activities
Ensure employees receive required New Hire or annual safety training
Coordinate with Training companies for specialize Training (First Aid, CPR, Overhead Crane, Forklift)
Lead the Safety Committee (host meetings, distribute minutes, CI efforts, communicate activities)

Environment

Create safety procedures and Work Instructions
Maintain and communicate current Emergency Programs such as Hurricane, Flood, Fire, etc
Conduct Inspections and audits (fire extinguisher, eye wash)
Schedule third party inspections
Storage of chemicals, hazardous waste
Training (fire evacuation, etc.)
Maintain requires for permits, and licenses
Right to Know requirements

Health

Lead healthy workplace initiatives
Engage industrial hygienist and/or occupational medicine as indicated



Requirements



Bachelors or Advanced degree in SHE preferred
Experience in manufacturing or industrial work environment
Minimum 5 years' experience working with SHE Management Systems and implementation of Safety Programs
Expert level knowledge of OSHA 10 or 30, RCRA, HAZWOPER, DOT
Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001 certification process
Experience working in facility with Stormwater permit requirements, hazardous waste streams
Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Page Maker, CBT Training Systems/LMS Systems, SAP Experience Preferred
