Job Description Job Description Job Title: TIG Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team, focusing on gas turbine components. This role involves executing precise welding tasks, ensuring quality standards are met, and contributing to the innovation of welding processes. Responsibilities Set up and install welding equipment for gas turbine alloys. Execute welding on gas turbine components according to technical specifications. Perform quality checks on completed work before confirming the operational step. Prepare and confirm necessary quality documentation. Report production time used per production step. Set up welding parameters, select consumable materials, and prepare workpieces for new welding process trials with engineering staff. Design and fabricate welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as required. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience. Proficiency in TIG welding on various materials such as Nickel Alloys, Inconel, Haynes, cobalt, and stainless steel. Ability to pass the PSM's Welding Test within a 90-day contract period. Experience in reading blueprints and fabrication. Experience with precious metals. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with pneumatic tools. Skills in belting and grinding. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a warehouse environment with air conditioning. Employees must wear steel-toed boots that meet ASTM F 2413-05 or ANSI Z41-1999 standards, including I/C, EH, and SD ratings. The work schedule includes rotating between different departments to gain diverse skills, with shifts available from Monday to Thursday: 1st shift from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, and 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of JUPITER, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
