is currently seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice
President of Accounting to lead our financial operations within our
dynamic hospitality management company. This executive role offers
an exciting opportunity to influence financial strategy, ensure
compliance, and support the growth of our portfolio of properties.
Leading a team of more than 25 direct and indirect reports, this
leader will play a critical role in strategic planning, internal
controls, and financial reporting for our third-party ownership
partners. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in
accounting, finance, and hospitality industry experience to drive
operational excellence and financial integrity. Requirements:
Position Requirement Lead and manage the accounting department,
providing clear direction and fostering a high-performance culture
focused on accuracy and accountability. Oversee all aspects of
financial reporting, including month-end close, audits, and
compliance with regulatory standards. Drive process improvements to
enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting
operations. Collaborate with executive leadership to support
business development efforts through financial analysis,
forecasting, and risk assessment. Responsible for all Corporate
accounting including producing financial statements, budgeting and
tax compliance and filings. Provide cash management for corporate
accounts and property accounts ensuring cash balances meet the
approved cash outflows of the business. Open and close bank
accounts for Island Management Companies and new properties.
Provide leadership for onboarding new properties including banking,
merchant IDs, liquor licenses and other licensing requirements.
Supervise accounting staff, providing mentorship, training, and
performance evaluations to build a cohesive team. Manage project
management initiatives related to system upgrades or new financial
tools to optimize workflows. Ensure compliance with GAAP and
internal financial policies. Provide strategic financial insights
to senior leadership and support budgeting and forecasting. Serve
as the key liaison for external audits, SOX Compliance and tax
filings. Collaborate with operational teams to align financial
goals with hospitality performance metrics. Position Qualifications
Proven management experience leading large hospitality accounting
teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong strategic planning skills
with a track record of implementing successful financial
initiatives. Demonstrated leadership capabilities that motivate
teams and influence cross-functional collaboration. Extensive
experience managing profit & loss statements, budgets, and
financial forecasts. Supervising experience in overseeing complex
accounting functions with attention to detail and compliance
standards. Business development acumen with the ability to identify
opportunities for growth through financial insights. Skilled in
project management methodologies to lead process improvements
effectively. Knowledge of sales processes as they relate to revenue
recognition and financial reporting standards. Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Active CPA
required. Master’s degree strongly preferred. Training: Island
